St. Johnsbury police are asking for the public's help after a young boy was found walking alone on Railroad Street early Friday morning.

The child, estimated to be 4 or 5 years old, was reported shortly before 9 a.m. He is described as Caucasian, wearing "Paw Patrol" pajamas and carrying a red and white blanket. Police say the boy appears to be non-verbal and no information about his parents or guardians has been identified.

Police say the child is now safe indoors. Anyone with information about the boy or his family is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Police Department at (802) 748-2314.
