St. Johnsbury man cited for simple assault after Pearl Street fight

St. Johnsbury police responded to 155 Pearl Street on the evening of June 15 after a report of an assault. Dispatch told officers two males were fighting outside the property and had separated before officers arrived.

Police made contact with Christopher King, 42, of St. Johnsbury. King told officers he had struck another male who approached him on his property after an argument involving a female. Officers located the other male at a separate residence and collected photographic evidence and written statements from a witness.

King was arrested and processed at the St. Johnsbury Police Department on a charge of simple assault. He was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Court on July 27.
