St. Johnsbury police are asking for the public's help identifying a young child found alone on Railroad Street on June 19. Officers responded after receiving a report of an unsupervised child walking along the street.

The boy, estimated to be 4 or 5 years old, was wearing Paw Patrol pajamas and carrying a red-and-white blanket. He had no identification and appeared to be nonverbal, police said.

Investigators do not know where the child came from. The Vermont Department for Children and Families has been notified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Johnsbury Police Department at 802-748-2314.
