The Barton Chronicle has published obituaries for three area residents who died in late May. Edmund Tex Williams, 92, of Craftsbury, died May 25 at his home. A lifelong Craftsbury resident, he served as road commissioner, selectman, and chief of the volunteer fire department. He is survived by two daughters.
Yolande Louise Chamberlain, 91, formerly of St. Johnsbury, died May 24 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She worked as a bookkeeper and later at Hovey's Shoe Store and Tim's Deli. She is survived by two children.
Kristie Jane Bronson, 56, died May 20 in Windsor, Connecticut, after a battle with cancer. Born in Newport, she was vice president of operations at Hanleigh Insurance. She is survived by her husband and parents.
Graveside services are planned for Williams on June 12 at Craftsbury Village Cemetery and for Chamberlain at Lyndon Center Cemetery at the family's convenience. No services were announced for Bronson.
