Sutton man arrested on DUI charge after found passed out behind wheel

Vermont State Police arrested a Newark man on suspicion of DUI after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle in Sutton on July 4.

Police received a report at 9:07 p.m. of a vehicle parked in a driveway at 3273 U.S. Route 5 with an unconscious male inside. Troopers identified the driver as Jacob King, 48, of Newark, and observed signs of impairment. King was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. He was later released on a citation to appear in court.
