Vermont State Police are trying to identify the person who illegally dumped about 40 tires in Willoughby State Forest in Sutton this week.
Investigators say a truck was spotted in the area where the tires were found along the edge of a forest road. No suspect description has been released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Barracks of the Vermont State Police.
NEK will be looking into whether state forest road cameras or local businesses may have captured images of the truck involved.
