Vermont State Police arrested a St. Johnsbury man July 12 on suspicion of violating a restraining order in Danville.

Troopers responded to a report of a possible violation around 7:17 p.m. Their investigation found that Joshua Stevens, 38, had failed to comply with requirements outlined in a relief-from-abuse order, police said.

Stevens was located, taken into custody, and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing. He was later released on a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court's criminal division on July 13 at 12:30 p.m.

No further details were released.
