ST. JOHNSBURY, VT, A St. Johnsbury man was arrested on driving charges following a traffic stop on July 5.

An officer with the St. Johnsbury Police Department was on routine patrol on Caledonia Street at approximately 7:18 p.m. when he spotted a blue Toyota Tundra. The officer recognized the driver as Scott Keithan and knew from prior encounters that Keithan's license was civilly suspended. A records check through dispatch confirmed the suspension.

The officer initiated a stop, and the vehicle pulled over near 97 Costa Avenue. During the investigation, officers learned that Keithan had active conditions of release that prohibited him from operating any motor vehicle on a public highway.

Keithan, 50, of St. Johnsbury, was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury Police Department for processing. He was later released on a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court to answer charges of operating after suspension and violation of conditions of release.
