A Lyndon man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Broad Street on the evening of July 14, according to Vermont State Police.
Trooper James LeBlanc stopped a vehicle observed committing a motor vehicle violation and detected signs of impairment during the encounter, police said. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Leonard Kaleta, 40, had an active in-state warrant for his arrest.
Kaleta was taken into custody and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing. He was cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on August 3 and Windham County Superior Court on July 15 to answer to the charges. He was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex on $200 bail.
