Lyndon man charged with placing GPS tracker on teen's vehicle

A Lyndon man has been charged after a GPS tracking device was found attached to a vehicle used by a 16-year-old juvenile, according to Lyndonville Police.

Police said they received a complaint from a man who discovered a suspicious object taped to the back of the license plate on a vehicle driven by his daughter. Investigation revealed the object was a GPS tracker.

Zachary Hosmer, 19, of Lyndon was located and cited into Caledonia Superior Court on a charge of stalking. His arraignment is scheduled for August 10, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.

The victim's name was withheld due to her age.

The case was investigated by Officer Robert Gerrish of the Lyndonville Police Department.
