Vermont State Police arrested a Bradford man on DUI and false information charges following a two-vehicle crash in Lyndon on the evening of July 4.

Troopers responded to the intersection of Vermont Route 114 and US Route 5 around 10:02 p.m. after receiving a report of a crash. One of the drivers was identified as Dylan Bearce, 22. During the roadside interview, troopers observed signs of impairment and took Bearce into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Bearce was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. He was later issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 20 at 8:30 a.m. and was released. State police did not specify what false information Bearce allegedly provided.

NEK will be looking into the circumstances surrounding the false information charge.
