St. Johnsbury woman arrested on instate warrant

St. Johnsbury police arrested a local woman on an instate warrant July 5 after spotting her in a convenience store parking lot.

Officers on patrol on Railroad Street around 11:23 PM observed Brittany H. Bishop, 42, of St. Johnsbury, in the parking lot of Horizons Deli at 652 Railroad Street. A records check confirmed an active instate warrant for her arrest, according to police.

Bishop was taken into custody without incident and lodged at Northeast Correctional Complex. She is scheduled to appear in Orleans County Court on July 6 at 12:30 PM. Her bail was set at $200, which she was unable to post.
