State police are investigating another bomb threat at Weidmann Electrical Technology in St. Johnsbury, the fourth such incident at the facility since last year.

The threat was discovered scrawled in a bathroom stall around 10:30 a.m. on June 19, prompting an evacuation of the building. Vermont State Police said they are looking into whether the threat is connected to previous ones at the same site.

Weidmann, a Swiss-based manufacturer of electrical transformer insulation, operates two U.S. facilities, including the one in St. Johnsbury. The company was evacuated for a similar threat in May 2026 and for threats last year.

Police did not immediately say whether any suspect has been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Barracks at (802) 748-3111.

NEK will be looking into whether state police have coordinated with federal agencies on the investigation, given the international ownership of the plant.
