Vermont State Police responded to a bomb threat at the Weidmann Electrical Technology facility in St. Johnsbury on June 19. The threat was discovered scrawled in a bathroom stall, prompting a call to police at about 10:32 a.m.

The facility was evacuated as a precaution. The St. Johnsbury Fire Department and Calex Ambulance were placed on standby. A search of all buildings turned up nothing out of the ordinary, and crews cleared the scene. The business is expected to reopen.

This marks the fourth similar event in recent months. State police are investigating whether the incidents are related. The investigation remains active, and no further details are available.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111 or submit an anonymous tip online at vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.

NEK will be looking into whether the previous threats targeted the same facility or other locations in the area.
