Vermont State Police responded to a bomb threat at the Weidmann Electrical Technology facility in St. Johnsbury on June 19, according to police.

Police received a call from the company around 10:32 a.m. after an employee found a threat scrawled in a bathroom stall. The facility was evacuated, and the St. Johnsbury Fire Department and Calex Ambulance were placed on standby as a precaution.

A search of the buildings turned up nothing suspicious, and the scene was cleared. The company plans to reopen.

This is the fourth similar incident in the area since the spring. State police are investigating whether the threats are connected.

The investigation remains open. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Johnsbury barracks at 802-748-3111 or submit an anonymous tip online.
