Vermont State Police arrested a Barton man on July 3 after investigating an assault on Cabot Road in Walden. Mica Collier, 39, faces charges of aggravated assault and burglary.
According to police, troopers responded to the scene around 8 a.m. and determined that Collier had committed the offenses. He was located, arrested, and taken to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
Collier was issued a citation and held at the Northeast Correctional Complex in lieu of $2,000 bail. The victim, 19-year-old Shelby Thompson of Walden, was identified in the police release.
Collier is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on July 6 at 12:30 p.m.
