A Barton woman faces felony charges after Vermont State Police say she assaulted another woman and burglarized a home in Walden.
Police responded to a reported assault on Cabot Road around 8 a.m. on July 3, according to a state police news release. The investigation led to charges against Mica Collier, 39, of Barton, for aggravated assault and burglary.
The victim, identified as Shelby Thompson, 19, of Walden, was involved in the incident. Police did not disclose the nature of the injuries or the relationship between the two women.
Collier was located, arrested, and taken to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing. She was issued a citation and later lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex after failing to post $2,000 bail.
Collier is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 6 at 12:30 p.m. The court date is subject to change.
