A 26-year-old St. Johnsbury man pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges that he threatened to kill everyone at the public library in Groton, then pistol-whipped his mother and held her hostage with a handgun, according to court records.
The alleged incident occurred on July 17. The man faces multiple felony charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault with a weapon, and terrorizing. He remains held pending further court proceedings.
