Newport City police arrested four people Tuesday following a month-long drug investigation. A search warrant was executed, leading to charges including cocaine and fentanyl sales and trafficking.

Matthew Prue is charged with sale of cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, and multiple drug possession counts, as well as criminal threatening from a separate investigation. He was held on $25,000 bail.

Jennifer Sanville faces similar drug charges plus habitual criminal counts, and was arrested on aggravated assault and criminal threatening allegations from another probe. She was held without bail.

Stanley Crowe is charged with dispensing cocaine, drug possession, second-degree unlawful restraint, and interference with access to emergency services. His furlough was suspended; he was held on $25,000 bail for the drug counts.

Trina Stetson is charged with knowingly permitting drug sales in a dwelling and drug possession.

All four are expected to appear in court Wednesday, June 10.

NEK will be looking into the separate investigations referenced in the arrests, including the aggravated assault and criminal threatening charges against Sanville and the criminal threatening charge against Prue.
