Heavy rain from storms Wednesday night created a large washout on Bunker Hill Road in Hardwick. The road, in the 700 block, is now impassable.

Hardwick Police said the split spans the width of the road, measuring about 15 feet across and 5 feet deep. Crews are expected to begin repairs Thursday morning.
