Joseph Yu, 53, of Wheelock, was cited for domestic assault after an altercation on Fall Brook Road on the afternoon of June 4, Vermont State Police said.
Troopers responded to the scene around 4:40 p.m. following a report of a disturbance. An investigation determined that Yu caused pain to a family or household member, police said.
Yu was arrested and taken to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing before being released on a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on June 5.
Police did not release the victim's name, as is standard in domestic violence cases.
