At approximately 9:29 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to a large brush fire on Comerford Dam Road in Barnet, near the boat launch. At 9:36 AM, mutual aid was requested, with multiple fire departments responding. By 9:45 AM, crews reported five units en route to the brush unit, noting very hard access to the fire location and a need for a water source. Waterford Fire Department and other agencies are on scene. The extent of the fire and any potential threats to structures are not yet known.
