A Westfield woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling $63,000 from the Westfield Fire District, where she served as treasurer. Kelly Randall entered the plea Friday in court, according to court documents.

The embezzlement spanned four years, during which Randall was responsible for the district's finances. She confessed to the theft in an email to a former colleague and later to Vermont State Police, investigators said.

The Westfield Fire District manages the town's water system. Randall's sentencing is scheduled for August.
