Vermont State Police arrested a North Troy man on charges including criminal threatening and driving with a criminally suspended license after an incident on Railroad Street in North Troy on July 15.
Police say Brent McClure, 37, threatened bodily injury to Danny Gosselin, 36, also of North Troy. During the investigation, troopers learned that McClure had been operating a side-by-side utility vehicle in the village, despite having active pretrial conditions of release prohibiting him from driving any motor vehicle on a public highway. His driver's license was also criminally suspended.
McClure faces charges of criminal threatening, violation of conditions of release, and criminal driving with a suspended license. He is scheduled to appear in Orleans County Criminal Division court on July 22 at 12:30 p.m.
NEK will be looking into the pretrial conditions that McClure was subject to and whether the court will consider modifying them in light of the alleged violation.
