At approximately 6:10 PM, police were dispatched to Walmart in Derby for a report of a male who had set up a living space behind the store. The acting manager advised him to leave, but he refused and remained on the property. The individual is described as wearing a black sweater, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a shaved head and athletic build, and appeared to be either intoxicated or experiencing a mental health issue. At approximately 6:50 PM, a responding trooper reported being back in service and indicated a warning would be issued for the individual, who was described as not hostile toward law enforcement. At approximately 6:51 PM, the trooper confirmed a warning was issued and the scene was cleared.
