At approximately 12:20 AM, Vermont State Police received a complaint from a woman reporting that her neighbor had discharged a firearm multiple times near the Oregon area in Derby. The caller stated that the neighbor fired about 10 rounds, and she believed it was intended to antagonize her, as they have a history of conflict. She said she had just pulled into her driveway after work when the shooting began. The caller did not believe the shots struck her house. Background sounds of gunshots could be heard during the call. As responders were en route, further transmissions indicated additional shots were heard. Police are investigating the incident.
