A packed room and overflow online attendance marked Monday night's Thetford selectboard meeting, where residents voiced support for slowing traffic on Route 113 into Thetford Center. The road is a state highway, so any changes must go through the Vermont Agency of Transportation's traffic committee.

Residents described vehicles traveling at unsafe speeds downhill through the village. The selectboard agreed to take the request to VTrans.

NEK will be looking into VTrans' traffic committee meeting schedule and any prior requests from Thetford.
