Vermont State Police arrested a Thetford man on domestic assault charges July 5.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to a reported family fight in Thetford around 7:46 p.m. An investigation determined that Thomas Berecz, 56, had assaulted a domestic partner, police said.
Berecz was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bradford outpost for processing. He was released on a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 6 at 12:30 p.m.
No further details about the assault were released.
