Between midnight and 6 a.m. on July 14, 2026, someone broke into two auto businesses on Portland Street in St. Johnsbury, stealing a truck and multiple catalytic converters, according to Vermont State Police.
Police said the burglary happened at 2456 Portland Street, the location of Mark Turner's Automotive, where a blue 2008 Ford F-350 with a yellow dealer plate reading “MARK TURNERS AUTOMOTIVE” was stolen. Investigators also found that several catalytic converters were taken from that business and from Auto Saver Outlet at 2523 Portland Street.
No suspects have been identified. Trooper LeBlanc is handling the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111. Anonymous tips can be submitted online at vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit or by texting the keyword “VTIPS” to 274637 (CRIMES).
