The National Weather Service in Gray, Maine, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for southeastern Coos County in northern New Hampshire, effective until 5 p.m. EDT on June 26. The warning also covers central Oxford County in western Maine.

At 3:57 p.m. EDT, radar indicated a severe thunderstorm near Bethel, Maine, moving east at 15 mph. The storm carries 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, which can damage vehicles, roofs, siding, and trees.

Affected locations in New Hampshire include the southeastern portion of Coos County, near the Maine border. The warning advises residents to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for protection.
