School Street Bridge remains closed until September

WOLCOTT, The School Street Bridge over the Lamoille River remains fully closed to all traffic, around the clock, with the closure expected to continue until September 25, according to the Town of Wolcott. A signed detour guides motorists around the closure via Flat Iron Road and Vermont Route 15.

Next week, motorists can expect intermittent lane closures on Route 15 near the intersection with School Street. Flaggers will control alternating one-way traffic on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. as needed.

Crews will continue backfilling at both abutments and preparing the site for structural steel expected to arrive late next week.
