New Hampshire State Police shot a man in Landaff on Thursday afternoon after responding to a call about an adult walking in and out of traffic on Lost River Road, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's office.

The man was struck by gunfire during the encounter and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The attorney general's office released no further information about what led to the shooting or the condition of the man.

Lost River Road, also known as Route 112, runs along the Ammonoosuc River in Landaff, a Grafton County town of about 400 people west of Lincoln and Easton.

NEK will be looking into whether the attorney general's office will release body camera footage or the name of the officer involved.
