NEWPORT, The Orleans County Board of Realtors has awarded scholarships to seven local students. Emma Drake of North Country Union High School received the Harold Haynes Scholarship. Jackson King of Lake Region Union High School received the Terry Burdick Scholarship. Dylan Simoneau, Benjamin Gilcris, Nicholas Laramie, Samuel Roberts, and Emma Meunier also received awards. The board raises funds for the scholarships through an annual golf tournament. 'We congratulate all students on receiving this year’s scholarships and wish them a bright future as they continue their education,' the board said.
