BUFFALO, NY, An 18-year-old Buffalo man faces multiple weapons charges after a traffic stop and foot pursuit on June 9, state police said.

Kacuol I. Chol was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and menacing in the second degree with a weapon.

Troopers from the Troop A Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle after observing four males in the backseat without seatbelts and two males pointing what appeared to be toy firearms out the window at other vehicles.

Chol, who was not wearing his seatbelt, fled the scene on foot and was apprehended after a short pursuit. Police said he had a loaded Glock 43X handgun with a high-capacity magazine in his waistband.

He was taken to State Police Buffalo for processing and later to the Buffalo lockup for arraignment.
