A new community space dedicated to digital access and learning opened its doors in Groton on June 27. The Groton Connectivity HUB, located in the heart of the village, aims to provide residents with free internet, computer classes, and a place to gather.
The HUB was featured in a July 16 article by the Journal Opinion News, highlighting its early success. Programs already underway include digital literacy workshops and a device lending library. The effort is a partnership between local volunteers, NEK Broadband, and other regional organizations.
Organizers report that the space has seen steady use since opening. The HUB is open to all residents of Groton and surrounding towns.
