The Dandelion Run, a half-marathon traversing the dandelion-covered dirt roads of Morgan, Holland, and Derby, will return May 22 with both in-person and virtual participation options, organizers with Kingdom Games announced.

The event, which also offers a 10K, 4-mile, 2-mile, and 1-mile route, will be limited to 100 participants this year with staggered starts and social distancing. Organizers said they encourage but do not require vaccination.

The race is held in memory of Terri Weed, a 15-year-old who died from domestic violence on May 21, 1981. Proceeds go to Umbrella, an organization that advocates for and supports victims of domestic violence.
