Vanessa Clough, 39, of Coventry, was cited for domestic assault and violating conditions of release after an incident on Kinsey Road in Barton on June 10, according to Vermont State Police.
Police responded to a residence at approximately 7:59 p.m. following a report of an assault. An investigation determined that Clough had caused pain to a household or family member. Clough also had active conditions of release imposed by the court that prohibited contact with that individual.
Clough was taken into custody and processed at the Derby Barracks. She was later released with a citation to appear in Orleans County Superior Court on June 11 at 12:30 p.m. to face charges of domestic assault and violation of conditions of release.
Police did not release the name of the alleged victim, per department policy regarding victims of domestic violence.
