The Corinth-Topsham Emergency Response Team has been named a 2026 First Responder Service of the Year recipient by the Vermont Department of Health. The department announced the award on May 26, 2026, noting that the volunteer squad is one of two teams honored this year.
The award recognizes the team's contributions to emergency medical services in the Orange County communities of Corinth and Topsham. The department did not elaborate on the selection criteria, but similar awards typically consider response metrics, training, and community engagement.
"These first responders demonstrate exceptional dedication and skill," the department said in a statement.
The second recipient was not named in the announcement.
