Hazen Union alum Mike Brown and his BFA-Fairfax baseball team saw their postseason end last weekend with an 8-0 loss to Woodstock in the Division III state quarterfinals. The sixth-seeded Bullets had defeated Oxbow 13-5 in the first round.
Woodstock, the No. 3 seed, advances to face second-seeded Bellows Falls in the semifinals. Top-seeded Thetford Academy takes on No. 4 Enosburg in the other semifinal matchup.
Fairfax, which won the Division III state championship in 2024, finished its season with a 9-6 record. The championship was Brown's fifth with the program.
