At approximately 12:32 AM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 444 East Main Street for a possible structure fire at a motel. Reports indicated a smell of smoke in the building. By 12:37 AM, a working fire was declared, and multiple fire units are on scene. The extent of the fire and any injuries are not yet known. Further details will be provided as they become available.
