A woman is facing DUI and related charges after she allegedly crashed into a parked vehicle and then tried to run away on foot in Luzerne on June 22.
Officers responded to the crash on Kelly Street in the afternoon, finding damage to both the parked car and the suspect's vehicle. No injuries were reported.
The driver fled the scene on foot but was spotted by Sgt. Mangagna of the Luzerne Police Department. After a short chase, she was apprehended and appeared to be intoxicated, according to police. She refused a blood test and was later processed and released.
Charges include DUI, evading law enforcement on foot, and accidents involving damage to unattended property. The suspect's name has not been released by police.
