Green Mountain Power is resuming public tours at the Kingdom Community Wind Project in Lowell this summer after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tours, now in their seventh year, are free and last about 90 minutes, with GMP experts guiding visitors to two of the project's 21 wind turbines.
According to Green Mountain Power, hundreds of Vermonters and tourists visit the wind farm each year to learn about wind energy. This year's tour dates are Wednesday, June 30, at 10 a.m., and Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m.
