At approximately 7:56 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to Hospital Drive in St. Johnsbury for a report of a tree on a power line. The incident involved smoking and a fire alarm activation. St. Johnsbury Fire Department responded, and additional units were recalled for station coverage. Crews are on scene assessing the situation. Further details are not yet available.
At approximately 8:07 PM, crews reported that the smoking branch had burnt off and there was no longer any hazard. The scene was cleared and units returned to quarters. Station coverage was also released at 8:08 PM.
