Wood Pile Fire Spreads to Tree Line on U.S. Route 5 in Sutton

At approximately 9:26 AM, Sutton Fire Department responded to a wood pile fire on U.S. Route 5 that had extended into the wood line. Units reported a garage exposure. By 9:34 AM, crews described a 40-foot diameter fire approximately 50 feet from the structure. Mutual aid from West Burke Fire Department was requested at 9:40 AM. By 9:41 AM, West Burke Fire Department was responding to U.S. Route 5 in Sutton for a wood pile fire that had extended into the tree line with a building exposure. Firefighters remain on scene working to contain the fire.
