At approximately 11:31 AM, the Lyndonville Fire Department was dispatched to a possible chimney fire at 340 Willoughby View Road in Lyndonville. Initial reports indicated heavy dark gray smoke coming from the structure. By 11:41 AM, additional resources were requested, including East Burke Fire for a ladder company. At around 11:50 AM, Engine 32 arrived on scene and reported no visible fire, indicating a possible furnace malfunction. The additional ladder resources from East Burke were held off. Around 12:00 PM, crews on scene requested Lyndon Rescue to evaluate a person experiencing nausea. At approximately 12:01 PM, initial reports indicated the patient was a 38-year-old male with nausea and not feeling well. By 12:04 PM, Calex Ambulance transported the patient to St. Johnsbury Regional Hospital. Crews continued working on scene. At approximately 12:35 PM, firefighters were ventilating the building and had disconnected power from the source. The scene remained active.
