St. Johnsbury Fire Department responded to an elevator emergency at Comfort Inn & Suites at 703 U.S. Route 5 South. At 9:11 PM, crews were dispatched after reports that two individuals were stuck in the elevator between the third and fourth floor. By 9:23 PM, firefighters had removed one person from the elevator and the system was shut down. The incident was declared under control.
