Ryegate voters uphold decision to eliminate elected auditor position

Ryegate residents have reaffirmed a town meeting vote to abolish the elected town auditor position. At a special meeting held May 18, voters cast paper ballots 59-45 to uphold the earlier decision, according to unapproved draft minutes from the gathering.
