At approximately 5:15 PM on July 17, 2026, emergency crews were dispatched to a residence fire on Route 2 near St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Initial reports indicate a structure fire on the St. Johnsbury side of the route. Tankers from Dalton and other departments are responding. At 5:16 PM, Dalton Tanker 1 confirmed they were en route. Crews are coordinating access to the scene. More details will be released as they become available.
