At 8:51 AM, St. Johnsbury Police were dispatched to the Octagon building on Eastern Avenue for a report of a person with an active warrant. Officers located the individual and confirmed the warrant, which is believed to be out of New Hampshire. Extradition procedures are being coordinated with Grafton County authorities. The underlying offense has not yet been released.
At 9:26 AM, dispatchers reported that the warrant is not extraditable, and extradition proceedings are not being pursued. The individual's identity has not been released. NEK will update this story as more information becomes available.
