Pickup truck crashes into building in Hardwick; driver injured

A pickup truck crashed into a building in Hardwick on June 15, injuring the driver.

Emergency responders including the Greensboro Fire Department, Hardwick Fire Department, and Hardwick Emergency Rescue were dispatched to the scene on South Main Street at 7:30 a.m.

The driver, whose name has not been released, suffered minor injuries. Police said the building was occupied at the time but no one inside was hurt.

The scene was cleared after about an hour. The extent of damage to the building was described as severe.
